He was born in Muncie on March 16, 1961, the son of James and Joann (Howells) Thompson.
Michael worked for Wal-Mart and Ball Memorial Hospital for several years. He loved his family as well as music, tv, and playing board games.
Survivors include his wife, Tena; son, Steven Thompson (wife, Jean); daughter, Christina (husband, Alex); nine grandchildren, Alora, Gabe, Phoenix, EJ, Genevieve, Rogue, Karson, Charlie, and Henry; siblings, Kathie, Jimmy, Billy and Kelli; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
