Funeral: Noon Saturday, Jan. 19, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, in Austintown, Ohio. Interment: Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at First Baptist Church of Hurst. Visitation: Friends may call 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials: Mrs. Davis was a great lover of cats, and donations may be made to the local SPCA, in lieu of flowers .
Odora was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Kankakee, Ill., to the late Meddie and Jeanette Francoeur. Mrs. Davis trained to be a nurse during World War II and completed her nurse's training at the Silver Cross Hospital School of Nursing in Joliet, Ill., in 1946. She was formally recognized as a registered nurse by the state of Illinois in 1947.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. Ray Davis, whom she married June 11, 1947; he passed away Aug. 1, 1990.
Survivors: Sons, Randall E. Davis of Girard, married to Karen; Daniel J. Davis of Dallas, married to Megan, and Timothy J. Davis of Indianapolis, Ind.; grandchildren, Blake, Clayton, Heidi and Weston; sisters, Gertrude and Stella; and brother, Bud.
