Rebecca was born Jan. 10, 1960 in Newport News, Va., the daughter of Elbert and Ruby (Hill) Barrow. She was a 1978 graduate of Carolina Christian Academy.
Rebecca was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church. Her family was first and foremost in Rebecca's life and she loved spending time with her husband, their seven children and 18 grandchildren.
Rebecca leaves her husband, Burton Hartley, whom she married Aug. 4, 1978, their seven children, Brent (Judy) Hartley of Austintown, Christy Hartley of Madison, Wisc., Cherilyn (Jason) Seely of Meadville, Pa., Kevin (Lauren) Hartley of Alexandria, La., Daniel (Joanna) Hartley of Salem, Tonya (Bryan) Thomas of Salem, and Timothy (Bethany) Hartley of Alberton, Mont.; one sister, Barbara Gail Elsey of Lowry City, Mo.; as well as 18 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019 and again noon to 1 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church, 1095 New Garden Road, Salem Ohio, where services will begin at 1 p.m.
