Patrick Christopher Wilkinson
September 26, 1991 - May 12, 2022

Patrick Christopher Wilkinson, 30, was born in Pensacola, FL on September 26, 1991, and passed away peacefully on May 12, 2022, in Atlanta, GA, where he had resided for the past 8 years.

Patrick was born with one eye wide open and was full of energy from the very beginning. His creativity and artistic talent became apparent at a very young age, and he excelled in several formats over the years including sketching, painting, pottery, and jewelry-making. He loved to cook and taught himself how to bake bread and make beignets as after school projects in middle school. His gentle and curious nature drew him to plant and animal creatures around him wherever he was. He nurtured trees and plants with care and grew a vibrant porch garden including a 5' avocado tree grown from a leftover pit. He loved animals of all kinds and throughout his life had a menagerie of pets including the usual cats, dogs, and gerbils, as well as the unusual hedgehogs, a water dragon, a ball python, tarantulas, a one-eyed frog, and a six-foot boa constrictor. He loved his work managing a well-known vintage clothing and costume store, PsychoSisters, where his co-workers were like family to him. Patrick was a charming young man who was a dear and loyal friend. He was a kind and generous soul who unfortunately struggled with drug addiction from a young age. He bravely fought for his recovery mightily, winning the battle for years at a time with intermittent relapse.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Carol Martinolich of Bay St. Louis, MS and Andrews and Mercedes Wilkinson of Waveland, MS.

Patrick is survived by his partner, Gaven Greenberg of Atlanta, GA; his parents, Chris and Diane Wilkinson of Pensacola, FL; his sister, Michelle (Sacha); niece, Lily and nephew, Cael of Pensacola, FL; his sister, Erin (Sean); nieces, Shannon, Ingrid, and Evelyn; nephew, Henry of Shelby Township, MI; his brother, David of Austin, TX; and his brother, Thomas (Taylor); nieces, Anneliese and Avila of Pensacola, FL; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held 10:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:30am Saturday, May 21, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Doug Halsema celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

He was as generous in death as he was in life and gave the gift of hope and life to strangers through the gift of organ donation through the nonprofit organization LifeLink of Georgia. His family is proud of him beyond measure and will miss his gentle, sweet soul. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you commit to performing random acts of kindness to someone in need in Patrick's memory.

The family also extends special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Grady Health System for caring for Patrick with kindness and compassion.
