Myrtle L. Robinson Tillison, age 79, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Tillison was born April 15, 1927, in Russell County, Va., a daughter of the late Melvin and Gaylana Reynolds Reedy, and had made her home in Bristol most of her life. She was a retired employee of Bristol Lingerie, former employee of. L.C. King and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tillison was the widow of Herman Robinson and James Tillison and was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Robinson, and a sister, Roberta Dodson.
Survivors include three daughters, Reba Willard and husband Howard, Charlotte Barb and husband Kevin and Lois Booher and husband Ron; three sons, Robert Robinson and wife Stephanie, Larry Robinson and wife Darlene and James Tillison Jr. and wife Penny; two sisters, her twin sister Mabel Robinson and Lula Leonard; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mark Baumgardner officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mountain View Cemetery.
