Hartwell W. Benson of 246 Burdick Avenue, resident here for 30 years, died at home yesterday after a long illness. He had been a barrel manufacturer ever since coming here. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Howard Herrick and Mrs. Bertha M. Smith of this city: two sons, Hartwell Benson of Detroit, Mich., and Raymond Benson of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Dorr Bourlier of Solvay and Mrs. Mamie Klock of Phoenix. Funeral services will be conducted in the home at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with burial in North Syracuse.
