Stanley Barnes
January 21, 1933 - May 31, 2022

Stanley Barnes was born January 21, 1933 in Fisher County, TX to Amos & Mary Barnes. He and his family moved to Stanton, TX in 1951. Stanley served in the Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955 before being honorably discharged. Stanley married the love of his life, Sarah Louder Barnes on August 6th, 1955 after falling in love on a blind date only 3 months prior. Stanley and Sarah were happily married for 61 years.

Stanley, known for his incredible work ethic, was a valued employee at Cap Rock Electric for 40 years. He began in 1952, long before excavators and pole sets were popularized. Work was done by hand and only by men with a certain resolve. Stanley's skills grew along with the company and he soon became a foreman of the High Voltage Department. Stanley was forced into a reluctant and early retirement in 1990 due to a work related injury, but his legacy lived on in the company.
