Charles Wesley Hunt 89 years old, after a brief illness, passed away at his home in Forest City on Thursday, June 2, 2022.
Charles "Pig" Hunt graduated from Cool Springs High School in 1950 and attended Appalachian State. He hauled cars from Detroit in his younger years, worked as a supervisor at PPG in Shelby, and went into the gaming business installing pinball machines and pool tables in various locations. Many people were entertained by his telling of funny stories and witty replies. He traveled with his wife throughout America, parts of Europe and Mexico but was always happy to return home where he enjoyed being a father and grandfather.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest "Pig" Hunt and Rebecca Hutchins Hunt and two sons, Charles "Chuck" Hunt and John Hunt.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Ginger Hunt, and sisters Marilyn H. Rollins and Jeanne H. Parker.
Also surviving are his children Dr. William Hunt (Kip), Becky H. Carson (Jim), Jimmy Hunt (Pandora), Bruce Hunt, Amy Huskey (Chris).
Grandchildren: Laura Chen, Amanda Whisnant, Thomas Carson, Seth Carson, Brian Hunt, Haley Miller, Jeff Hunt, Mary Hunt, Jessica Sisk, and Daniel Huskey. There are also 19 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday, June 5, 2022 in The Padgett and King Chapel with Reverend Chris Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 Sunday prior to the service at the mortuary.
