Heaven became even more real to Kerry's family when he passed away at his home on May 28,2022 at the age of 67. He had battled cancer this past year.

Kerry ,aka "Toad, Slick and Ho Ho", was born on April 23, 1955, in Waxahachie to Clarence and Lila Giles Wilson. At the age of ten years he asked Jesus to come into his heart and life. He joined Farley Street Baptist Church and enjoyed serving the Lord there for many years. He had experienced many special events in his life while at Farley Street Church. He had also been a member of the Optimist Club.

Kerry graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1973. After graduation he started working with his Dad and uncles in the family business, C. A. Wilson Company. He attended an air conditioning school to learn this trade and worked in that area for the company. Later, he worked for the City of Waxahachie at the Civic Center and also at the Presbyterian Childrens Home where he retired in September of 2020.

On November 19, 1994, he married Kathy Weber Cox and 3 children Jon, Abby and Mitch. He always had a good and loving relationship with them. He was "Ho Ho" to his and Kathy's five grand girls, Fayth, Ella, Julianna, Jesse Rose and Jennings. They enjoyed going to the girls many activities of ball games, cheerleading, etc. He was sad that he wasn't able to see Fayth graduate from Texas A&M recently.

Kerry was very talented in wood crafting and in working on old furniture. His pleasure was in making unusual Santa Clauses out of tree trunks. Many were special orders and they will be cherished forever by their owners. Kerry was the ultimate "picker". He spent most of his lunch hours at Souls Harbor gathering treasures!

Vacations were important to him. His favorite ones were going to Cuchara, Colorado since 1969 with his parents, siblings and other family members and friends. He also enjoyed going with Kathy to their place on the bay in Rockport and spending time in Cuero with family. He loved the Weber family as his own and especially enjoyed all the family get togethers, whether it was Cliff and Sharons shrimp boils, G-Mikes BBQ chicken or Sunday lunches at his parents house Kerry could be seen laughing with his family.

Kerry was preceded in death by two of his favorite people-his Dad, Clarence, in August of 2018 and his younger brother, Jon in August of 2020. We can't imagine the reunion they had! His father in law Mike Weber, and mother in law Merilyn Weber also preceded him in death.

Surviving Kerry is his loving wife, Kathy, son Jon Cox and his wife Jaclyn and their girls Julianna, Jesse Rose, and Jennings; daughter Abby and her husband Lance Hunt and their girls Fayth and Ella; also son Mitch Cox and his fiancée Rachel Hyatt. Also surviving is his Mother Lila Wilson and his two sisters and their husbands, Emily and Bobby Oliver and Angy and Rick Bruce and his sister in law, Darla Wilson. Brothers and sisters in law, Cliff and Sharon Weber and Richard and Nikki Weber. He had 7 nieces and 7 nephews as well as 14 great nieces and nephews whom all affectionately referred to him as Uncle Toad and Slick. Included in Kerry's large family are uncles, aunts, and a lot of cousins on both the Wilson and Giles sides. Kerry had such a good time with them. Kerry had a large host of friends that he cherished. He will be so missed.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you would send contributions to: Campfire Creek Therapeutic Riding Center, 767 Bethel Rd., Waxahachie, TX 75167 or: Jon Wilson Fireman Scholarship, c/o Darla Wilson, 3259 FM 1446, Waxahachie, TX 75167
