Millcreek UT – With deep sadness and aching hearts, the family of Linda Walk, 76, share the unexpected passing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Linda was born on July 11, 1945, in Roosevelt, Utah. She was the fourth of seven children belonging to Ila Rhae Mitchell Peterson and Leland Peter Peterson. She grew up in Neola, Utah surrounded by family. In the late 1950's her family moved to Millcreek, Utah.

She met her soul mate, Harold "Hawk" Walk, and they have been together for 47 years. Their marriage was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1994.

She went to Olympus High School. In her twenties, she found herself as a single mother to 4 children under the age of 10. She went back to school and received a degree from Utah Technical College. After receiving her degree, she worked there as an Executive Assistant. Linda went on to co-own an Antique Appraisal Company and finished her career as office manager for Nichols Naylor Architects.

She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She resided as a member in the Canyon Rim 2nd & 3rd Ward for 50 years. She held many positions including Young Women's Leader, Nursery Teacher, Young Adults Leader, and Relief Society Counselor. One of her most cherished positions was being called to a Service Mission. She and Hawk were hosts at the Salt Lake City Conference Center for 5 years. She met many friends and enjoyed giving tours.

She loved service and was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) organization for 40 plus years. ESA is a unique international service and leadership organization focused on volunteering, friendship, and becoming the very best version of yourself. Linda held many positions including Chapter President and State President. Linda was the embodiment of the organization's creed. She met many lifelong, cherished friends while serving her community. She traveled to many conferences and always had great stories upon her return. She loved attending these events with her ESA friends.

She enjoyed giving her time and talents to others. She was very creative and spent many hours making cards. Each card you received was special, handmade, and always included a heartfelt note letting you how much she loved you. Each of her grandchildren has a cross-stitched birth sampler and scrapbook that she lovingly made for them. She made every holiday special, always hosting family gatherings. Her home is always decorated for the occasion along with special dishes for every event! She has instilled many loved family traditions which we will carry on in her memory.

She was an avid reader, passing along books to family and friends, that also enjoyed reading. She read every night before bed. She also loved to travel. She, Hawk, friends, and family took many trips, making memories along the way. She was always up for an adventure to a new place.

Above all, she cherished her family and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended all of their dance recitals, school events, sporting events, and any special occasion they had. She never missed an opportunity to tell you how much she loved you and how proud she was of you. She never judged and never missed the chance to ask you what you needed help with.

She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and a quintessential grandmother.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Rhae Peterson, brother, Kent Peterson, brother, Leon M "Lonnie" Peterson, and granddaughter, Alexa Caitlin Hamme (memorial 208746897).
