John was born on April 24, 1943, in Dewar, Oklahoma, to Adam and Lou Ellen (Connors) Davis. He earned his college degree and worked as a Union Electrician for IBEW #508, and he was also an evangelist pastor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 2001, his parents, and seven siblings.
Survivors: Children-Mona Daniels, Lee's Summit, MO; Robin Connors, Springfield, MO; John Davis, Camdenton, SC; Andrew Davis, Austin, TX; Rachel Morrow, Lee's Summit, MO; and Jason Morrow; 25 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Interment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, MO.
