Willie LeRoy Adams, 78, of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. Willie LeRoy Adams, the 9th child of the late John Jackson and Myrie Bell (Williams) Adams was born on March 12, 1944, in Etta (Lafayette County), Mississippi. At an early age, Willie confessed Christ and joined Flint Hill M.B. Church in Etta, Mississippi. Upon relocating to Beloit, Wisconsin Willie joined Wesley C.M.E. Church and was a faithful and active member until his death. Willie loved both his church and church family. He was always available to help others and often gave rides to church members who otherwise would not be able to attend church services. Willie was a church trustee for 25 years and served as chairman of the trustee board for 10 years. He was a Sunday School Class leader and a Cub Scout leader, Chaplin of the adult choir, and chairman of the ministry to men. Willie attended Liberty Hill School and graduated from Central High School in Oxford, Mississippi. During his high school years, he was a member of the basketball team. It was during his high school days that Willie met and eventually married. Willie was employed at Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, Illinois. After retiring from Chrysler Willie worked part-time for Bud Weiser Motors in Beloit. Family was especially important to Willie, and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. No matter how busy he became, Willie always made time for his family. Willie cherished being part of the Liberty Hill 9. They were a part of his family and over the years they kept in close contact. Willie showed love for his family through laughter. He would tell jokes or tease them until they broke out into laughter. Willie especially loved to tease his son-in-law; brother-in-law; and nephew. Loving memories will be treasured by his wife; daughter; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers; sister; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jackson Adams, Sylvester Adams, Luke Adams, and William Adams; sisters, Arlilla Adams-Wilson, Arlevia Adams, Essie Adams, and Sallie Adams.
