JOHN WILLIAM "DOODLE" HOLEMAN SR. was the son of Reuben Elvin Holeman and Mrs. Jim Doris "Honey" (Davis) Holeman.

He was the husband of Mrs. Patsy Ruth (Parker) Holeman.

Their infant son, John William Holeman Jr., preceded them in death.

"John Holeman, 64, of Taylor, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. John was born July 22, 1945 in Camden, to the late Reuben Elvis and Jim Doris (Davis) Holeman.

John was a switchman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Holeman, of Taylor; three daughters, Vicky Keith and husband, Jamey, Kathy Haney and husband, Joseph, both of Magnolia, and Julie Hamilton, of Taylor; four sisters, Charley Sue Leister, and husband, Randall, of Little Rock, Freddie Anne Sherman, and husband, Tom, of Hernando, Miss Jodda Mitchell, of Hot Springs, and Mary Lanelle Holeman, of Memphis, Tennessee; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home.

Cremation services were provided by Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia, Arkansas."
