Jeanne Goldston Kies was born December 28, 1940 in Houston, Texas and was the daughter of William Jerome Goldston and Kathleen Hadley Goldston. She was a graduate of Lamar High School, in Houston, and a longtime volunteer of Kerrville State Hospital. She enjoyed being in the Hill Country area and loved the beauty of the outdoors. She loved being surrounded by friends, family and their children.

She was preceeded in death by her parents William and Kathleen Goldston and her brother William Goldston. Jeanne will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kathy Vallie Tautenhahn and husband Scott, her grandchildren, Andrew and Taylor Tautenhahn, her sister Gloria Goldston King and husband Allan C., her niece and three nephews. Forever remembered by extended family Mary White, Terri Williams, Carol Jones and their families and also fondly remembered by Welton (Buddy) and Martha Kies.

A celebration of Jeanne's life was held on Monday, January 14, 2008 at The Woodlands United Methodist Church, in the Robb Chapel, The Woodlands, Texas, with Dr. Ed Robb officiating. Interment followed the service at the family plot at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
