COLE, Robert Guy – of Davison, MI, age 93, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment, with Military Honors, will be held 1 PM Monday, June 27, 2022 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442.
Robert was born in Flint, MI on May 9, 1929, son of the late Kenneth and Charlotte (Wilson) Climie. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1948-1952. On November 12, 1954, Robert married Jean Burgett in Flint, MI and she preceded him in death on December 15, 2018. He retired from State Farm Insurance in 1993 after 35 years of service. Robert was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Davison, MI. He enjoyed playing tennis, golfing, shuffleboard and spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by 2 children, Guy (Pam) Cole and Cathy (Greg) Doerr; 6 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Charlotte Climie and his wife, Jean Marie Cole.
