William "Bill" Dixon, age 84 of Raymore, MO, passed away on Friday December 17, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, MO. He was born on November 23, 1937 in Shelbina, MO the son of J. B. and Evelyn Dixon.

He graduated in 1955 from Lillis High School and attended Central MO College in Warrensburg, MO in 1958. While in High School, he played on the Golf Team, which began a lifelong passion for the game. He caddied for the Blue Hills Country Club after High School. He excelled tremendously and enjoyed playing golf with friends and family throughout his life. He married Rita Sue (Banner) in 1965 in Kansas City, MO, and she preceded him in death in 1989.

He served in the United States Air Force Reserves in the 442nd Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (TAC). He was an Insurance Salesman for many years for several local companies including Cretcher-Lynch and retired in the early 2000's. He had a fantastic sense of humor and a love for all animals especially dogs. He enjoyed his daily walks with his beloved dog Andy. He was a Christian man and practiced the Baptist faith. He would help anyone who needed it, and had many friends that he enjoyed spending time with. He would frequent T.J's and The Cabin Restaurants in Belton, MO and the workers there became his second family.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Rita Sue; Daughter, Kerry Tucker; Three Brothers, Bobby, Jimmy and Jerry Dixon; and one sister, Mary Lou Seiner.
