Gordon Eugene Long, 82, of Durham, NC passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. He was a native of Muncie, Indiana, graduated from Royerton High School in 1957 and served 4 years in the US Navy. He worked many years for Servomation Refreshments and Ross Grocery Stores. After moving to North Carolina in 1992, he worked for Harris Teeter until retirement. As a young man in Muncie, he was an avid bowler and enjoyed many years participating in regional tournaments. He is the son of the late E. Eugene & Dorothy Jean Harrold Long. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Jean Rees and nephew, Phillip M. Rees.

He is survived by nephew, Rick R. Rees and wife Janice of Durham, NC; Niece, Cindy Rees Kosinski and husband Paul of Graham, NC; brother-in-law, Donald R. Rees and wife Darlene of Mebane, NC and several grand nieces and nephews.
