Daniel "Dan" V. Casatta
October 8, 1961 ~ May 24, 2022 (age 60)

Daniel "Dan" Vincent Casatta, 60, of St. Louis, passed away on May 24th. Dan was born on October 8, 1961 in Kirkwood, MO to Howard and Doris, growing up in Fenton, MO. Dan enjoyed playing and watching whatever sport was in season. He attended Eureka Sr. High School, where he played both basketball and baseball. Dan attended East Central Junior College, where he played baseball and also attended University of Missouri and Maryville College. For many years he was employed by and operated Vince Jacks Iron and Metal. As an avid reader and lifelong learner, there were few subjects he didn't know something about, especially if it had anything to do with history. His quirky sense of humor and sharp wit were hard to match. His kind heart toward animals and the elderly never went unnoticed.

Dan is survived by his father, Howard (Shirlee Schneider) Casatta, sisters Corri (Scott) Brooks, Tracy (Phil) Czarnec and brother Matthew Casatta, three nieces, three great-nephews and his canine mastiff nephew Gus. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Duke Casatta.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.
