Resident of Hampton, SC. Son of Carson Octavius Moore and Louise Ashworth Moore. He served in the South Carolina Army National Guard, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He worked at Westinghouse for many years before being called into the ministry in 1984. He worked, alongside his wife, at the Connie Maxwell Children's Home in North Carolina. He served as Pastor of Steep Bottom Baptist Church for eight years and served at many churches when needed. He was a member of West End Baptist Church, was a Deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Charles Altman, John Henry Wooten, Sr., George Montague "Monty" Wooten, and Ronnie Hugh Wooten, Sr.; and nephew, Charles Steven Altman. Surviving are his children, Greg Moore and his wife, Pam of Varnville, and Melinda DeLoach and her husband, Clint of Estill; grandchildren, Blair, Ansley, Asher, Callen, Mark, Mitchell, and Meghan; great grandchildren, Gunner, Remi, Zayna, and Chance; sister, Shirley Moore Altman of Hampton; brother-in-law, Charles "Randy" Wooten, Sr. and his wife, Cheryl of Grays; and sisters-in-law, Jacqueline McBride of Oklahoma City, OK, and Reba Wooten of Nixville.
