Purnettie Francis Yancey, 75, of Batesville, Ark., passed away April 5, 1973 at the North Arkansas Clinic in Batesville, Arkansas.
She was born to Burgess and Marrietta (McVay) Neal. She was a member of the Baptist Church and spent most of her life in Izard County.
She leaves to mourn her passing two sons, Mosie Yancey, Poughkeepsie, Ark., Harrison Yancey, Oregon; 2 daughters, Bethel Owens, Oxford, Ark., Marie Lindsey of Calico Rock, Ark., 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. Two brothers, Amos Neal of Brockwell, Ark., Willie Neal of Salem, Ark.; two sisters, Kettie (?blurred) of Wash., and Edna Hams of Batesville, Ark.
Services was (sic) Monday, April 9, 1973, 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Ridge Church. Ministers were Rev. Ottie Brown and Rev. Kennard Townsley.
Burial was in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Brockwell, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were: Ronnie Miller, Shannan Womack, Gordon Owens, Ronnie Loggins, Vernon Neal and Lee Arnold.
