Margaret Ann Brockelman Ratliff, 92, passed away on Tuesday May, 24, 2022 at Diversicare in Council Grove. She was born in rural Morris county on March 8, 1930 to Floyd Brockelman and Madge Cline Brockelman. She attended rural Morris county schools and later Council Grove High School, graduating in 1948.

She was married to Marvin G. "Mick" Ratliff on August 20, 1950 in Council Grove. For many years they owned Ratliff's Decorating Center, also building and remodeling many houses and historical buildings in the area.

Margaret was a member of the American Legion Auxillary. She enjoyed helping others and volunteering in the community. She also enjoyed working in her bountiful garden and she always had beautiful flowers. Margaret loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Sawyer Funeral Home.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, a son Max Ratliff and a brother, Alan Brockelman.

Survivors include son Kim Ratliff, granddaughter Tricia Brown and husband Bob, nephews Scott and Brett Brockelman and their families.
