Cassandra Mae (Garrett) Garrett
February 2, 1986 ~ December 18, 2020 (age 34)

Cassandra Mae "Cassie" Garrett, 34, beloved Daughter, Sister and Granddaughter, passed peacefully and went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 18, 2020. Cassie was born February 2, 1986, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Alferd and Sondra Garrett (Miller). She grew up attending Tuttle Schools where she was a national championship cheerleader and friend to all. Involved in FFA, Cassie was a FFA Sweetheart, officer for two years, and loved showing pigs that she raised with her daddy. She loved her classmates and proudly graduated from Tuttle High School in 2005. Following high school, Cassie began her college career at the University of Central Oklahoma where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. While at UCO, Cassie also enjoyed being involved in the RLCC honors program and school pride program. She transferred to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, where she earned her degree with a double major in Early Childhood and Deaf Education. With a servant's heart and a special love for children, the Lord used her gifts in many roles including teaching preschool and Kindergarten in public and private schools, serving as Children's Pastor at the House of Restoration, and fulfilling roles in both the retail and restaurant industries. No matter the role, she was always drawn to serving others.

Cassie had a pure love for her family and especially her German Shepherd "Bear." She had a special relationship with her parents, siblings and extended family. Her nieces and nephews were her world, and she loved them as though they were her own children. She was proud to have accomplished independence by purchasing her first home and car and was loving her work as a server and cashier at Swadley's BBQ. She always enjoyed the annual Garrett family reunion at Lake Texoma - especially breakfasts with her cousins and fishing with her daddy. She loved watching hallmark movies with her momma, spending time with her friends, taking Bear to dog parks, scrapbooking, and serving in children's ministry. She had many dear friends with whom she had always been in contact with throughout the years. Cassie was also a devoted member of Yukon House of Restoration Church. Cassie was faithful to her Heavenly Father and leaned into her faith in both triumphs and when facing obstacles. As a result of this, she has touched people from around the world in more than 40 countries.

Cassie is preceded in death by her grandparents Adrian A Garrett, Wanda J Garrett (Scott), Lloyd D Miller, cousin Edward Dills, and her beloved nieces Lyla Anne Garrett and Renae Merrick. Those who wait to see her again include her parents Alferd and Sondra Garrett, sister Nicole Merrick and husband Jake, sister Jennifer Jones and husband Philip, brother Jeschke (Jake) Garrett and wife Felicia, nieces Emilia & Adilynn Merrick, nephews Kyden & Zane Garrett and Breed & Sammy Jones, and numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation for Cassie will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. A Celebration of Life service honoring Cassie will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Tuttle First Assembly of God Church with a burial following at Fairview Cemetery. Donations may be made in honor of Cassie Garrett to Sooner State Bank in Oklahoma where the family have set up a memorial fund to provide scholarships to girls with Turner Syndrome so they can attend the National Convention.https://www.ingramsmithturner.com/obituary/Cassie-Garrett
