Jerry Don "Smokie" Wilson, 75 of Bainbridge, Georgia formerly of Campbell and surrounding areas, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at his residence in Bainbridge, Georgia.

Smokie, son of Robert McKinley and Mary Elizabeth Smith Wilson, was born on Tuesday, August 27, 1946 in Holcomb, Missouri.

He was a business owner and was a member of the Faceville Baptist Church in Faceville, Georgia.

On February 19, 1964 in East St. Louis, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Jane Bledsoe Wilson. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jerry Dale Wilson, who passed on July 28, 2014.

In addition to his wife and son, he was also preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Sara Jane, Katie June, Robert Paul and Susan Grace Sloan; siblings, Carl Wilson, Essie Blair, Euel Wilson, Buel Wilson, Sybil Boettcher, Evenell Oxley, Bobbie Wilson and Bonnie Beltz.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2022 at Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell with Reverend Shiela Boyles officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
