Jay W. Brown, age 71, passed away at Ascension St. Vincent Randolph on May 26, 2022. He was born September 16, 1950, the son of Glenn Brown and Velma Bailey Brown, in Richmond, Indiana.
Jay was a resident of Richmond, Indiana, and a graduate of Richmond High School. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church; and had been retired from Marvel Industries since 2008. Jay loved fishing, woodworking projects, cooking on the grill and spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Shannon Brown Stinger (Elric); Kenny Jeffers (Amanda) and Joellen Glomb Hollingsworth; grandchildren: Kevin Hollingsworth, Lillian Stinger, Abigail Stinger, Claire Stinger, Jayden Wegford, Jorden Wegford and Bryce Cloyd; brother: Rick E. Brown (Ruth); niece: Traci Clark and children: Shane Clark, Ginny Ann Clark and Jessica Blair; and two brother-in-law's: Paul Jeffers (Nancy) and Danny Jeffers.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Debra Brown; parents: Glenn and Velma Brown; stepfather: Felix Rher; maternal grandparents: Margaret and Tron Bailey; and paternal grandparents: Opal and John Brown.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 1st, 2022, 7:00 PM, at Community Family Funeral Home. Family and friends may visit Wednesday at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.
