Rufus Franklin Bolin was born January 10, 1917 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Herchel Bolin and Ethel Whitnock Bolin. Rufus passed away June 25, 2002 in Springdale, Arkansas at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 15 days.
Rufus married Eunice Margaret Chenoweth March 30, 1938 at Highfill, Arkansas. They were married over 55 years.
They were blessed with four children, Clifton Bolin of Siloam Springs, Bradley Bolin of Strang, Oklahoma, Dexter Bolin of Oolagah, Oklahoma and Patricia Bolin Philpott of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He raised cattle on a farm near Highfill until he retired and raised horses at his home near Springdale. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Chenoweth Bolin.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Loren Collins officiating. Burial will be in Elm Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Paul Bolin, Matthew Philpott, Wayne Bolin, Lynn Bolin, Bud Bolin, Cody Bolin, Jim Estep and Tim Holland.
