Together, they owned and ran a successful fuel oil business, where Mary was the bookkeeper. During the day she may be working, but in the afternoons and evenings she could be found supporting her children and grandchildren in all their sporting activities, band or choir concerts, parades or even typing an essay or two for the occasional procrastinator. Her house and pool were always open to the neighborhood kids. What Mary is probably known best for is her unbelievably amazing Christmas cut-out cookies. Everyone loved them and could not wait to receive their batch of cookies each year.
In her younger years, Mary was an avid reader. She read probably every Harlequin romance novel written in the 70's-80's. Later in life, she was very fond of crossword puzzles and watching game shows on TV and could be found doing both every day.
Mary is survived by her children, Lori (Tom) McMann, David (Diana) Zerbey and Dianne (Robb) Brown; grandchildren Kaci (Michael) Lemon, Taylor (Catherine) McMann, Alexa (Josef) Lauderdale, Lauren (Joey) O'Flaherty, Kevin (Sarah) Outly, Jonathan Zerbey, Rebecca Brown and Corrie Brown; great-grandson, Barrett Emsy Lemon and 3 great grandchildren on the way; two sisters, Susan Hall Brewster and Ada Rogers; one brother Norman Hall; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Jim, Nook, and Mort Hall and one sister, Nora Smith.
