Robert Miles Vogler ,93, of Vermilion, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Mill Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
Robert was born October 10, 1920 in Cleveland . He had been a Beulah Beach, Vermilion, resident since 1988 moving from South Euclid, Ohio.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.
Robert worked for East Ohio Gas as a Serviceman retiring in 1970.
He attended the Church of the Open Door in Elyria and the Christian Missionary Alliance Church at Beulah Beach.
He is survived by his son, Robert B. (Judy) Vogler of Painesville; daughter, Nancy (Leland) Meier of Beulah Beach; granddaughter, Megan Billet, and sister, Lois Baxter of Vermilion, and two great grandchildren..
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi M. (nee Mooney) December 30, 1993, parents , Arthur Daniel and Maybelle (nee Brown) Vogler, and a sister, Carolyn Jones.
A memorial service will be held Sunday,January 12, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Beulah Beach Commons, 6101 W. Lake Road, Vermilion, Ohio 44089. The Reverend David Baynes will officiate. Private interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Beulah Beach Corporation for The Center at Beulah Beach, 6010 W. Lake Road, Vermilion, Ohio 44089.
