"David Sinclair, a retired elevator mechanic with Mainco Elevator, died Nov. 30, 2005, at St. Lukes Hospital. He was 86. The son of David and Annie Toman Sinclair, he was born September 13, 1919 in Glasgow, Scotland. He was a past member of the Classical Choral Society and the Halcyon Singers, a member and choir singer of the First Presbyterian Church in Washingtonville.

A family statement reads, 'He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.' He was the widower of Elizabeth Wilding. Survivors include his son, David and wife Marjorie Sinclair of Washingtonville; daughter, Lisa Edwards of Miami, Fla.; grandchildren, Robin and husband Robert Scott of Wallkill; great-grandchildren, Owen and Nicolette Hope Scott; nephew, Tom and wife Joyce Sinclair and John Curtis Sinclair; niece, Carol McGill; grandnephews, Michael, Mark and Kyle; and grandniece, Kimberly McGill. He was predeceased by two brothers, John and George Sinclair.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5 at Washingtonville Presbyterian Cemetery. A memorial Mass will follow at 2 p.m. at the church. Arrangements by the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home."
