Born April 17, 1934, to the late Nathan and Jessie Baldwin, he is also preceded in death by brothers Doyle Baldwin, Clyde Baldwin, Clayton Baldwin, sister Selma Baldwin Morris, and 1 great grandson Daniel Elijah Rathbone. Fred retried from Lea Furniture Factory, he enjoyed talking and meeting people, loved football, enjoyed going to the big Pisgah vs. Tuscola football rivalry, going to Tuscola games, he was a big fan of the North Carolina Tar heels, and the Carolina Panthers.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife Myrtle Thomas Baldwin of over 60 years, daughters Brenda Baldwin, Glenda Harverson (David), sisters Mary Baldwin, Qumia Baldwin Weaver, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 27, 2022, at Smoky Mountain Chapel with Pastor David Harverson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
