Steven J. Nixon, age 61 of Moline and Sedan, Kansas passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Sedan City Hospital in Sedan.
Steve was born on August 19, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas to Cecil Nixon and Dixie Nixon and was raised there before making his home in Peru, Kansas.
Steve was a machinist for over 25 years and enjoyed his job. He loved watching his kung fu movies, cheering on his Green Bay Packers and making bets to his wife that were never paid up only took out in trade and he loved taking care of his animals. Most of all spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Steve is survived by the love of his life Coreen Nixon of the home; three children, Caleb Ironsyde (Amanda) of Peru, Kansas; Wrangler Sweet of Moline, Kansas and Julie Nixon of Wichita, Kansas; his mother, Dixie Nixon; two sisters, Mindy Lene (Charlie) and Jackie Nixon (Sherri); 8 grandkids and many other family members.
He was preceded in death by his father Cecil Nixon.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at 2064 US Highway 166, Peru, Kansas 67360.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Dickens Family Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
