Alma Was A Garment Factory Worker For 33 Years. She Was A Member Of First Baptist Church Where She Taught Sunday School For Over 20 Years. She Was A Mentor And Teacher To All Her Family And To Everyone She Knew.
She Leaves Behind Two Daughters: Barbara Ann (Jerry) Stanley Of Nolensville Tennessee And Sandra Gail (Gene) Swallows Of Cookeville; Two Sons: Cecil Edward Jr.
(Janice) Garrett Of Cookeville And Robert "Bobby"(Nadine) Garrett Of Monterey; 9 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great, Great-Grandchild; Sisters: Edna Rae Welch Reeves And Henrietta Langford - Both Of Monterey; Brother: Ed Carson (Thelma) Buckner Of Monterey; And A Host Of Nieces, Nephews, And Cousins.
In Addition To Her Parents, She Was Preceded In Death By Her Husband Who She Married On March 29, 1943 In Fort Smith, Arkansas: Cecil Edward Garrett Sr.; And Sisters: Mable Woolbright And Evelyn Marrow.
Funeral Services Were Conducted On Sunday, May 29, 2022 From The Chapel Of Goff Funeral Home With Bro. Tommy Benson And Doris Bilyeu Officiating. Interment Followed In The Welch Memorial Cemetery.
