Guy P. "Sonny Boy" Allen, Jr. a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend; passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the age of 85. He was a retired Superintendent in the Pipeline Industry; resident of Bayou Sorrel and native of Bayou Chene, LA. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 9am until religious services at 1pm, conducted by Pastor Tim Webb. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Guy is survived his sons, Mark Allen and wife Terri Daigle Allen, Chris Allen and wife Lauren Bradford Allen and Randy Allen; grandchildren, Kylie Allen, Luke, Jake, Hannah, and Emmie Claire Allen, Samantha Michelli, Meghan Cannon; great grandchildren, Braylon Roussel, Kenslie Thibodeaux, Kade and Gaige Allen, Austin Fabre, Leah and Ella Hall, and Emmett Michelli; siblings, Alma Barbier (Mark), Maxwell "Bun" Allen, Sr. (Judy), Maxine Price (Russell), Marlene Hebert (Nolan), James "Jimmy" Allen (Melanie) and Ashley Allen (Kay); and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Doris Diamond Allen; son, Matthew Guy Allen; parents, Bernice "Coonie" and Guy Allen, Sr.; and siblings, Roman Allen, and Alvin "Pud" Allen. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Michelli, Scott Allen, Braylon Roussel, D.J., Luke and Jake Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Boudreaux, and Paul Rousso. Guy was an avid hunter, and fisherman. Special thanks to his caregivers, Melanie Howell and Donna Weadcock, Comfort Care Hospice, Dr. McWhorter, Dr. Helmke and their staff for their loving care.
