Anita Rosenbalm Thomas, 62 of Knoxville, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022. She was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Anita truly loved and cared about everyone and loved to help anyone she could. She had a passion for putting together events for people she loved. Her compassion for others and animals, especially her own, was second to none. She worked as an engineer for NASA and was the first woman to come out of the UT CO-OP program. From which she went on to work full time at NASA helping build the space shuttle program. She is survived by her loving husband, Steve Thomas; and many other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 4-6PM with service to follow at 6PM Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour with Pastor Don Wilson officiating. Family and friends will meet 11AM Wednesday, June 1, 2022, in Sherwood Cemetery for graveside service and interment.
