Professional Football Executive. A graduate of the University of Washington, he was hired as the first general manager of the expansion Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He served as general manager of the Seahawks from March 1975 to October 1982. He directed the selection process and overview of the team's nickname, logo, colors, season ticket sales and the hiring of the team's first head coach Jack Patera. Prior to joining the Seahawks he served as the sports information director at the University of Washington in Seattle, and as a public relations director and assistant general manager of the Minnesota Vikings. He died from undisclosed causes at the age of 95.
