Mrs. Betty Jean Giles Collins, age 88, passed from this earthly home into her eternal home on May 26, 2022 after declining health. Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, May 28 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Marshall Singletary will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
Mrs. Collins was born in Port Wentworth, GA. Her family later moved to Treutlen County and has been a residence in Laurens County since 1950. She was the daughter of the late A. C. Giles and Mattie Mae Hopkins Giles. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 50 years, Ned Collins. She was also preceded by her sister, Eloyce Hooks and brother, Cortez Giles.
