Mary Francis Roberts passed
peacefully from this life on May 26, 2022, surrounded by the ones whom she loved the most in the world; her four adoring children.
Mrs. Roberts was born December 31, 1926. She married her sweetheart, John (JD) in 1945 and became a loving mother to four children. Mrs. Roberts was always a hard worker and did everything with her family in mind. She was a dedicated employee for over 25 years before retiring from Mallory Timers in Sparta, Tennessee in April 1989 to begin her "lady of leisure" career. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, shopping and driving Mrs. Bruce to the beauty parlor every week to get their hair "done*, then always stopping at Hardees for a biscuit on their way home. She was a member of Wilhite Baptist Church in Cookeville, Tennessee where she was loved by many special friends.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her children; Brenda Wilhite (Joe Nabors) of Tennessee, Sue (James) Trobaugh of Tennessee, Charlotte (Michael) Meadows of  Georgia, and Jerry (Robin) Roberts of  Tennessee, ten grandchildren and their spouses; Johnny Baker, Tammy (Brian) Anderson, Teri (Michael) Haney, Tisha (Joshua) Snyder, Heather (Carl) Brimer, Melody Richards, Brian (Jill) Meadows, Amy (late, Todd Duke), and Christi (Andy) Dorsey, Virginia Bennett; 22 great-grandchildren; and 13 great great-grandchildren. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, John Dewey Roberts, mother - Katie Wynett Fowler, father- John P. Fowler, step-mother - Vernie Fowler, brothers - John & Gene Fowler, sister - Jessie Fowler all of Tennessee, a special grandson, Todd Duke of Georgia, and her best friend, Mrs. Gladys Bruce, also of Tennessee.Services for Mrs. Roberts will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Tim Miles and Josh Sherman officiating. Interment will follow in Roberts Family Cemetery. Pallbearers to serve: Andy Dorsey, Andy Elkins, Seth Greenwood, Michael Haney, Brian Meadows, and Joshua Snyder.
