A native of Screven, Georgia and a son to the late Leroy Everett Roberson and Lovie Lou Morgan Roberson.
He lived most of his life in Waycross and had graduated from the University of Georgia, and was a member of First Baptist Church Waycross. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Major after 20 years of service.
As a pilot in the Air Force, he served in the Vietnam War, and he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Hamilton Roberson of Waycross;
one son, Marshall Roberson (wife Lisa) of Atlanta;
grandchildren,
Kiersten Patton, Alex Roberson, Colton Roberson and Spencer Roberson;
two sisters, Montene Murray and Una Wasdin;
and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Screven Cemetery in Screven, GA.
