Martha Cooper Bailey, age 78, of Ellenboro, died Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at her residence.

Martha was born Thursday, February 24, 1944 in Cleveland County to the late Claude and Maudie Cooper. She was a dedicated homemaker and a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church. Martha was active in the mission's program of the church and taking mission trips to Venezuela. She was also active in the church choir. Martha worked for Sonoco Crellin Plastics Manufacturing for many years. She loved her family, her church family and her Lord and Savior.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Brooks and a grandson, Jared Brooks.

Survivors include her husband of forty-nine years, Ralph Ronald Bailey. His son, Chad Bailey (Laura) of Forest City; three daughters, Sherri Bailey (J.D.) of Kansas, Connie Robbins (Terry) of Lake Bowen, SC and Leslie Bridges (Scott) of Shelby; sister Carole Humphries (Joe) of Beaver Dam in Shelby. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Mack Tester officiating.
