She was born in June of 1893 in Marion County, TX, a daughter of Maggie and Leroy Williams. She attended Central High School in Jefferson and was a domestic worker. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church where she served as an usher for 25 years.
Survivors include daughter, Mary Louise Abbitt of Las Vegas, NV; goddaughter, Dorothy Williams of Jefferson; five granddaughters, Ella Mae Johnson, Frances Hart, Lena Johnson, Martha Abbitt, and Maurine Davis; grandson, Robert Gray of Salem, VA; 13 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Danny Williams, Darnell Williams, Gene Williams, Vincent Young, Tony Jones, and Timothy Ross. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jesse DeWare, Dr. James Blackburn, Jesse DeWare IV, and deacons of Berean Baptist Church.
