Mr. Guernsey was so far on the road to recovery from a winters seige with the grip that his taking away was entirely unexpected. He had been out of doors a great deal during the recent warm weather and was over town Saturday. On Sunday, however, there was a reoccurrence of the severe headache with which he had suffered frequently during his illness and this was accompanied by symptoms of weakness. In spite of all that physicians could do, the patient sank into a state of comma and passed away at 11:45 Monday forenoon.
