Memorial services for Mathew L. "Mat" Bailey will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022, in The Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria, with Roger LaCaze and Burton Smith, and Richard Rougeau officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Mat Bailey, 25 of Jupiter Florida (formerly of Alexandria) passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, in Jupiter Florida.
Mat was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, deer and duck hunting, grilling and the beach. He was a lineman for LineTech before moving to Florida, where he was a lineman for Pike Electric Company. He was a loving father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend. Mat was deeply loved and will be forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hyacinth Bailey, James M. Bailey, Jack Smith, Babb Cross, Allan Cross.
