Lisa Rondelle Fields passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Long Island Community Hospital formerly Brookhaven Hospital in Patchogue, NY. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 24, 1968, to the parents of Reverends William and Jessie Fields. Lisa's religious training started with prayers at home, "Now I Lay me down to sleep, the Lord's Prayer and the 23rd Psalm. At the age of four, the family joined the Disciples of Christ Church in Brooklyn, New York, and stayed there until the family moved out to Bay Shore, Long Island in 1978. We joined Durham AME Zion Church in 1979. This is where she continued to develop her singing voice and sang at many social functions. She held many positions in the church, including Usher Board, Youth Choir, Youth Choir Director, etc. Lisa's voice led her to perform in Opera, Gospel, and R&B genres. She loved playing the tambourine in church. They always made sure she had one in her hand during services. She attended Elementary and High Schools, in Brentwood School District. She graduated in 1986 and got her first job as a bookkeeper at Parker & Parker Security Agency. Lisa attended Suffolk Community College for one year and transferred to Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC September 1990. She graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. While attending Livingstone College, she pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Lisa returned to New York in 2014 after being a Dorm Director of Residents Life for seven years. She joined and assisted at Goodwill AME Zion Church helping her dad and mom with the food pantry. She leaves to mourn: her parents Rev. William and Rev. Jessie Fields; 5 siblings: Jerome Slater-Fields, Myra Fields (John), Sherran Fields, William Jonathan Fields (Toni), Samuel W. Fields, III (Matilda), Brother in the Ministry, Rev. Andrew Trent (Regina), 2 nieces: Sahara Caldwell, Alana Caldwell, 4 nephews: Gabriel Caldwell, William Carter Fields, Evan Fields, and Malik Grasty, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
