Karen Lee Baker, 79, of Buchanan, MI, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at home. She was born May 1, 1943 in Altus, OK. On March 27, 1977, Karen married Glen A. Baker, Sr. in Niles, MI.

Karen started her culinary education at the University of Oklahoma. She ended her education at University of Notre Dame; where she also worked and retired after 35 years as a cook for the fathers. Karen loved golfing and bowling. She was also an avid fan of Notre Dame Football. Karen was a member at American Legion Post 51 and Moose Lodge 449.

Karen is survived by her husband of 45 years, Glen Sr.; children, LuAnn (Marcy Glon) Baker, Lonnie Dean Baker, Lisa Baker, Dennis Vaught, Glen "Butch" A. (Dawn) Baker, Jr.; brother, John (Michelle) Mitchell; grandchildren, Veronica (Mason Burmeister), Chelsea Thomas, Ashley Lolmaugh, Dalton (Shelby) Vance, McKenzi (Jermain Thompson) Baker, Reiley (Kenzie Kaleta) Baker; great-grandchildren, Kahli Burmeister, Khloe Hauch, Paislee Burmeister, Camber Vance, Bentlee Burmeister, Zaylen Thomas; friend and caregiver, Dagmar Stone; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and son, Duane Lolmaugh.

Celebration of Life will be held by the family from 3 – 6 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at American Legion Post 51, 403 E. Front St., Buchanan, MI 49107. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan.
