David L. Thompson, age 69, of Beaver Dams, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born on March 3, 1953 in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Frank M. and Bernice I. (Smith) Thompson.
David grew up in Big Flats, graduated from Horseheads High School and he was a tree surgeon for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer L. Thompson, son, Matthew Blundell of California, step children, Tracy (Bob) Gitchell of Corning and Gordon Butler Jr of Painted Post, sister Pat (Sheldon) Kelly of Beaver Dams, brother, Rick Thompson of Beaver Dams, six grandchildren, one great granddaughter, special niece, Shelly Abbey of Beaver Dams, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his sisters, Linda Catrett and Mary Jane Mosher.
Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 East Pulteney Street , Corning, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 12:00 (noon) to 2:00 pm. David's Memorial Service will follow there at 2:00 pm Burial will take place at Beaver Dams Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
