Martha Jane "Butchie" Bannister, 73, Crothersville, passed at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at the home of her sister.
Ms. Bannister retired from the U.S. Shoe Corp. in April of 1997 working as a stamper, and she worked for May Stewart in the coffee shop. She enjoyed scrapbooking and crocheting.
Born June 6, 1934, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of Emil R. and Gladys Irene Bannister, both of whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include a sister, Burdette (Bobby) Vanover, Crothersville.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Violet June Hiler and Patricia Ann Combs; and a brother, Ronald R. Bannister.
The Rev. Jon Pearce will conduct Funeral Services at 1 p.m. Sunday at Adams Funeral Home, Crothersville.
Burial will take place at Crothersville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from noon until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Crothersville Cemetery.
