Murph married Sharon Olson of Belleville, WI, on February 20, 1988 in Fitchburg, WI. He worked as a sales rep most of his career, with Yellow Freight. Murph received numerous awards for his prowess in sales. He was a longtime member of the Mendota Gridiron Club, Ducks Unlimited and a 40 year proud member of The Elks Lodge #410. He enjoyed golf as a member of the Nakoma & Edelweiss Country Clubs, attending Badger football and basketball games, big Brewer & Packer fan, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Murph is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sharon; children, John M. (Cheri), Brian (Sandi), Kevin (Shari) of Colorado, Gerald (Amy) of Montana and Daniel (Leti) of Texas; stepchildren, Brian Olson, Daniel (Tonya) Olson, Thomas (Lynn) Olson and Steven Olson; 19 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Nancy), Glenn "Bud" and Bonnie Poole. He is further survived by many nieces, nephew, other family and friends.
Murph is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathleen; brother, David; sisters-in-law, Marlene and Karen and brother-in-law, Terry Poole.
Burial with full military honors at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
