A lifelong area resident, he attended local schools. David served in the National Guard during his younger years. He was employed as a laborer for several companies locally including Wood & Hyde, Brenton Industries and lastly, Fiber Glass Industries. David enjoyed four wheeling, loved his cats and dogs, and especially loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
On June 10, 1978 he was united in marriage to Linda Marie Jendrzejczak. That union was blessed with 30 years of marriage until her passing on March 6, 2009.
Survivors include his children, David R. Bornt, Jonathan J. Bornt, Erika Chapin and her husband, Dan; three grandchildren, Briana, Julian and Roslyn; friends and cousins.
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 10a.m. at Hagaman Mills Cemetery, Hagaman, NY with The Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis V.F. officiating. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 5 until 7p.m. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department.
