She graduated from East New Market High School. Professionally, Patricia served as a Salesperson for many years with Sears and also worked at DuPont. Patricia's love of children did not stop with just her children, she was the best grandmother and great grandmother around.
Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Mary Beth (Chuck) Quillen of Snow Hill, Maryland, Elysee Adkins (Tom) Marshall of Naples, Florida; son, Mark Adkins of Salisbury, Maryland; 4 grandchildren, Meredith Gilmore of Front Royal, Virginia, Chip Quillen of Snow Hill, Maryland, Anna Leigh Gilmore of Parker, Colorado , Andrew (Hannah) Quillen of Snow Hill, Maryland, 6 great grandchildren, Jaylin Quillen, Aaron Quillen, Hunter Quillen, Weston Quillen, Virginia Vandewater and Lily Emma Ellison and sister-in-law, Anna Tilghman of Cambridge, Maryland.
Along with her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lay Adkins, son, Eric Adkins, daughter, Debbie Gilmore, brother, William I. Tilghman and grandson, Bradley Quillen.
Services will be private at the Maryland Veteran's Cemetery in Hurlock, Maryland.
