Lisa Anne Koenig of Lambertville, MI passed away on Thursday, April 28th at ProMedica Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. She took on her battle with breast cancer with strength, grace and a positive attitude. She was born April 5th, 1980 in Riverside Hospital and grew up in Toledo, Ohio.

Lisa graduated from Whitmer High School in 1998.

She had aspirations to become a nurse and became a RN with her Associates Degree in Science from Century Community and Technical College in May 2006. She continued her education at Chamberlain College of Nursing, receiving her Bachelors Degree in Nursing with Presidential Honors in February 2012.

Then she went on to graduate with a Masters in Nursing from Walden University in February 2015 and became certified as a Nurse Practitioner. Lisa loved her career as a nurse. Working in women's health, labor and delivery was a passion of hers. As a Nurse Practitioner, she went in a new direction working with the geriatric population, which she also enjoyed.

Lisa's family came first in her life. Her love for her children was obvious to everyone who knew her and her spare time was filled with their activities: baseball, dance, hockey and volleyball. She attended their games, practices, competitions, tournaments and was their biggest cheerleader. Lisa was also a great cook. She was a talented artist and enjoyed crafting. Lisa loved butterflies and gerber daisies. She loved to travel with family and friends. She also enjoyed camping. Growing up she enjoyed competing in archery and high school softball.

Lisa was a kind, fun-loving young woman who had many friends. She had a big heart and will be greatly missed.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 17 years Ryan Koenig and children Wyatt, Avery, and Emersyn Koenig; Marty (Kathy) Lawhorn, Father; Aren and Brandon Gould, Taylor Koenig, nephews; Sydney Montgomery, niece, Janet Mason, grandmother and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lisa was preceded in death by her sister Krystal Gould; Kathy Lawhorn, mother; LeRoy T Mason, grandfather and Charles and MaryAnn Lawhorn, grandparents.

There will be a Celebration of Life on May 28th from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Compelled Church 8970 Jackman Rd. Temperance, MI 48182.
