William Thomas "Tommy" Roberts, 70, Shelbyville, died Sunday, May 22, 2022 at his home following a long illness. A native of Spencer County, he was the son of the late Dorothy and Hugh Roberts, Sr. He formerly worked for Big O Tires and then served as maintenance supervisor for Homestead Nursing Center in New Castle for many years until his health necessitated his retirement. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and constructing things. Tommy was very talented and used his skills to help others. He was a Baptist by faith.

In addition to his parents, one brother, Dorney D. Roberts and one granddaughter, Precious Roberts, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Patricia Roberts of Shelbyville; his daughter, Monica Lynn Roberts of Shelbyville; his stepson, James Powell of Sulphur; seven sisters, Glenna May Taylor of Bardstown, Joyce Roberts and Katie Roberts, both of Shelbyville, Loretta Young, Earl Dorothy Miller, Bonnie Sanders and Brenda Phillips, all of Louisville; one brother, Hugh Roberts, Jr.; three grandchildren, Kelsie Roberts, Chelsie Roberts and Daeona Roberts; one great-grandchild, Exazier "Peanut" Roberts and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been selected in accordance with his wishes.
